Sometimes assignments come in and one never quite understands the strategy.

Got a call from a former client who had a new job. He was working with a media company that had decided to start a new magazine. Demo was older, influential women OK.

The client already contracted the people to create the magazine. So the look and feel of the site was not going to go far from what they had created.

I had this really cool idea. I thought it would be cool to do the site in a magazine like format. So when you arrived on the home page you saw this:

That idea didn’t go over very well. Maybe it was the colors of the bookmarks. Maybe it was how I presented it. But it wasn’t very well received.

But if you look at what they eventually bought, it sure looks like the idea came from somewhere.
