I have this really bad habit. People ask me to do things in exchange for lunch or for free and I take the opportunity seriously.

A colleague asked me if I could do hims some new business cards.

I said yes.

“It has to have two sides.”

“How come?” I asked.

“I have my business on one side and my freelance business on the other.”

“Hmmmmm.”

So I started exploring the names looking for a common thread. His business is called Marketing Professionals Network. It’s a company that advises marketing people who have lost their jobs and helps them get back to work. The freelance business is Mercer Marketing. I thought some sort of M treatment might be worth exploring.

Here’s the idea which I still believe he should be using:

Haven’t heard a word. Or have I had a free lunch. Perhaps he heated them.
